Who we are
Reevia is the team behind the reevia.org website and the legal search service offered through it. For any question about this notice or about the data we hold, write to privacy@reevia.org and we reply within 14 days.
Reevia is not affiliated with, owned by, or operated jointly with any other recruiting firm, law firm or commercial entity. We have no parent company and no sister brand.
What we collect
- Identifying information you give us: name, work email, firm or company, your role, and (if you share it) your phone number.
- The brief you share when you book a call: the role you're hiring for, practice area, comp range, must-haves and deal-breakers.
- If you're a candidate: your CV, employment history, references, salary expectations, work eligibility and any details you choose to share during interviews.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and broad geographic region (city-level, not precise location).
How we use it
- To match candidates to roles (legitimate interest in running our service).
- To contact you about your enquiry or application (performance of a contract).
- To improve the site and our service (legitimate interest).
- To comply with anti-money-laundering, sanctions, tax and recruitment laws that apply to us (legal obligation).
We never sell your data. Full stop.
Who we share it with
- The client firm, but only after we have your express written consent to share your CV for a specific role.
- Our hosting and email providers (Cloudflare and Google Workspace) strictly to run the site and our work email.
- Background-check vendors, only when you've been formally offered a role and you've signed a release.
- Authorities, if we are legally required to disclose (court order, regulator request, anti-money-laundering reporting).
How long we keep it
- Active candidates: for as long as the relationship is live, plus 24 months.
- Placed candidates and clients: for the duration of the search agreement, plus seven years for tax and AML records.
- Site analytics: 24 months.
- Marketing prospects: until you ask us to delete, or 36 months — whichever is sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us, free of charge, to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you;
- Correct anything we have wrong;
- Delete your data (subject to the legal retention periods above);
- Stop processing your data;
- Export your data in a portable format;
- Complain to the data protection authority in your country of residence.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@reevia.org. We reply within 14 days.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies for session handling and basic, aggregated analytics. We do not run cross-site tracking, advertising pixels or third-party retargeting. You can disable cookies in your browser without breaking the site.
Security
We host on Cloudflare with enforced TLS, store records in encrypted cloud databases (AES-256 at rest), apply strong access controls and audit access quarterly. If a personal-data breach occurs, we notify affected people within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
International transfers
Reevia operates across Asia, Europe and North America. When we transfer personal data across borders, we use the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent safeguards) to keep the same level of protection wherever the data ends up.
Terms of use
By using reevia.org you agree that:
- The site is provided as-is; we don't guarantee 24/7 availability or that information is free from typos.
- You won't scrape the site, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or use it in any way that damages or disrupts the service.
- Illustrative roles, numbers and case studies on the site are exactly that — illustrative. Binding commercial terms exist only in a search agreement signed between Reevia and the client.

Changes
We update this page when something material changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes are announced on the homepage for a minimum of 30 days.
